I read Abraham Piper’s (yes, the son of that Piper) blog 22 Words, it stays true to it’s name and each of his posts are, well, 22 words. Today’s post has special meaning to me since I have spent the last 10 days away from my wife…
Friends and wives are very different, and we need them both.
By Abraham Piper
Molly isn’t my best friend. She’s better.
I have friends; what I need is a wife.
And what a wife she is!
I agree with Abraham… my wife is more than my best friend! I truly value our relationship and the grace and love that she shows me even when I do not deserve it! I pray that those who read this that are searching for that relationship will allow God to bring that person to you. Do not spend your days actively seeking this person out, follow God’s will for your life and that person will walk up beside you and it will be known. Spend the time now learning how to be that person God wants you to be and also how to unselfishly give your life for the one to come. That is what will make the relationship even better than your best friend (or BFF for those of you on facebook)!
Is it really plagiarism if I give credit to Abraham? I probably owe him some royalties at least. Thanks!
